Price
00. Once. That is the whole pricing page.
The rest of this page exists because people who have been billed monthly for a decade find a single payment suspicious, and want to know where the catch is hidden. There is no catch, but the questions are fair and they are answered below.
One price, and no second one
Tallyho
00
The application, paid for once, on the day you install it.
- Unlimited tallies and unlimited sessions
- Counting with the screen locked
- CSV export and import
- Every update for as long as it is made
- No account, no server, no data collected
- No second payment of any kind
The price is shown in your own currency at the till, tax included where the store charges it. There is nothing to cancel, so there is no cancellation page.
The suspicious questions
Everything people ask when there is no subscription
Updates
What about updates? Do I pay again?
No. Updates arrive through the app store like any other update, and they are included. Four years in, there have been thirty-one of them and none has cost anybody a second payment.
What if you stop making updates?
The application keeps working. It needs no server of ours, so nothing switches off if this business quietly ends. The last version you installed counts exactly as well on the day after as on the day before.
Will there be a Tallyho 2 I have to buy?
If a future version ever costs money, it will be a separate application with a separate name, and the one you bought will be left alone. Nobody's paid application is going to turn into a trial.
New phones
I got a new phone. Do I pay again?
No. The purchase belongs to your app store account, so reinstalling on a new phone is free. Only the counts need moving, which is the CSV export, and there is a paragraph on the features page about it.
I moved from one kind of phone to the other. Now what?
The two stores are separate shops and neither tells the other what you bought, so you would have to buy it again on the new side. We dislike this as much as you do and can do nothing about it. The CSV file still crosses over.
My counts vanished with my old phone. Can you restore them?
No, and this is the honest cost of having no server. We never had a copy of your counts. If they existed only on a phone that is now at the bottom of a canal, they are gone.
Family
Can my family use it?
Yes. Both stores have a family sharing arrangement, and the application is enrolled in it, so one purchase covers the people in your family group at no extra cost. Each phone keeps its own counts.
Can I buy it for a team or a whole club?
The stores have volume purchase schemes for that and the application is available through them. Write to us and we will point you at the right one for your country rather than guess.
Refunds
Can I get a refund?
Yes. The store takes the payment, so the store gives the refund, usually within a couple of taps in your purchase history and within a fortnight of buying. We never see your card and cannot refund you directly.
What if the store says no?
Write to us with the date and what happened. If you bought a counter and it would not count, we will argue your case with the store, and if that fails we will send the money ourselves.
Is there a free trial?
No. A trial needs a way to know who you are and how long you have had it, which means an account, which is the one thing this application refuses to have. The refund is the trial.
00, and then you are left alone
No renewal notice, no price increase email, no account to close in three years.
